The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.

Our chapter is involved in many activities on and off campus. We participate in the F'All Nighter for freshmen, K-Day, Winter Carnival and Spring Fling. We have walked dogs at the local Humane Society, created Military Care Kits for military personnel overseas and sponsored a family for Christmas through the Salvation Army.

We have also coordinated numerous fundraisers such as a Pancake Breakfast and a Resume CD Fundraiser, which is a collection of business students' resumes that are burned onto a CD and handed out to recruiters at Michigan Tech's career fair. This year our chapter will be assisting the Career Center coordinate and organize the 2004 Spring Job Fair. This not only assists students attain jobs it is an excellent way for the School of Business and Economics to become more recognized in industry.

We also attend State and National Competition every year. Last year National Competition was in Dallas, TX and this year it is in Cincinatti, OH. Competition is an excellent way to network, hone your leadership and communication skills and compete among your peers for recognition!
